Privacy policy
What we know about you.
You can take the whole test without making an account or accepting a single tracking cookie. We never store your IP address. To see your result we ask for an email address, so the result can be saved to you; if you then buy it we also hold your billing history. All of it can be deleted by sending one email.
While you are taking the test
We record:
- Your answers, and how long each one took
- Your score and the difficulty of the questions you were given
- Your country — worked out by our host from your connection. The IP address itself is never written down.
- Which site you arrived from, and any campaign tags in the link
None of that is linked to a name, an email address or a device fingerprint. A sitting is identified by a random number in a cookie and nothing else.
Why we keep your answers
Honestly: because the test needs them. Every question has an assumed difficulty, and the only way to check those assumptions are right is to see how many people actually answered each one correctly. Your answers make the scoring more accurate for the next person. They are analysed in bulk, never individually.
When you unlock your result
To see your result you give us an email address. From that point we hold it, linked to that sitting, so the result can be saved to you and reached again from another device.
If you do not unlock the result, we send you up to three reminders about it over the following week, and then stop. Every one has a link that stops them with one click. They are only ever about the result you took — no newsletters, no offers, nothing from anyone else.
If you then subscribe, we also hold a customer reference from Stripe, your subscription status and dates, and a record of the emails we have sent you.
We never see your card number. Stripe handles the payment and stores the card; we get back a reference and whether it worked.
What we keep, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Test answers, response times and scores | To produce your result, and to calibrate the difficulty of questions so scoring stays accurate | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Country, referring site and campaign tags | To understand where visitors come from | 24 months |
| Email address and billing records | To run your subscription, send receipts and the pre-renewal warning | As long as you subscribe, then 6 years for tax and accounting law |
| A record that each email was sent | To prove the pre-renewal warning was sent if a charge is ever disputed | 6 years |
Who else sees it
- Supabase — our database, hosted in Ireland (EU).
- Vercel — runs the website.
- Stripe — payments, if you buy something.
- Resend — sends your result link, the reminders about it, receipts and the renewal warning.
That is the entire list. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run advertising trackers on the test itself.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to see what we hold, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. We apply these to everyone, wherever you live.
To use any of them, email help@testiqhub.com. We will reply within 30 days and usually much sooner. We will not ask you to justify the request.
One limit worth stating plainly: we must keep billing records for about six years for tax law, so if you have paid us we cannot erase those. We can erase everything else, including your test answers.
Legal basis
- Running the test and your subscription — performance of a contract with you.
- Keeping answers to calibrate questions — our legitimate interest in the test being accurate. You can object; email us and we will remove yours.
- Reminders about a result you have not unlocked — our legitimate interest in telling you about something you started with us. You can stop them at any time with the link in each one.
- Keeping billing and email records — legal obligation.
Children
This is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used it, email us and we will delete everything associated with that sitting.
This is not a medical record
Your score is not a clinical or diagnostic result and we do not treat it as health data. It should not be used for medical, employment or educational decisions. See the terms.
